Growing up in an athletic family, my mom and dad immersed me in a variety of sports, but I gravitated more towards the individual/solo sports, rather than the team sports. From a young age, Squash was my passion: fast-paced, intense cardio, and
methodical. I played competitively early on, in Quebec, Ontario and in the States. During one of my high school years, I was fortunate to attend Millbrook High School, in New York State, on a Squash scholarship. I aspired to turn Pro and play on the PSA Tour. But, as fate would have it, I eventually took the Squash Coach Certification Program and began coaching students at the National level, as they competed in Junior US Opens and Canadian Opens.
I also had a passion for golf at a young age and seeing my students progress in squash, made me want more for myself. It was at that point, that I decided to dedicate myself to golf. After all, if I could break 90 early on, perhaps with lots of practice and hard work, see where the sport could take me.
I started my golf career at the Hudson Golf Academy, teaching SNAG under the supervision of my PGA coach, Lorne MacDonald. I then worked at Whitlock Golf & Country Club and Riviere Rouge, as an assistant. Four years later, I had the opportunity to work/teach at Le Club Dome, where I was immersed in an environment of great golf instructors. This all led me to a position at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club, as their head golf professional.
During the off seasons, I had the opportunity of playing on mini golf tours in Florida and Ontario.
